What’s inside my books / dissertations and how to get them:
  • Slioussar, N. (2007). Grammar and Information Structure. A study with reference to Russian. Utrecht: LOT Publications.
This is the English version of my PhD thesis. It covers such topics as Information Structure, syntax-prosody relations, the EPP in the Tense domain, and the processing of different word orders. Many ideas were developed and revised in later papers.
The book can be downloaded from the Utrecht University library archive and from the publisher's website. The latter page contains many Dutch linguistic dissertations, clicking on ‘contents’ next to mine one can download the whole book or separate chapters, and also buy a paper copy.

  • Slioussar, N. (2009). Na styke teorij: grammatika i informacionnaja struktura v russkom i drugix jazykax (in Russian, ‘On the crossroads of theories: Grammar and information structure in Russian and other languages’). Moscow: Editorial URSS.
In 2012 and 2018, the second and third editions came out. This book is based on the Russian version of my PhD thesis. It contains introductory chapters discussing theories traditionally less known in Russian linguistics: generative grammar, formal approaches to Information Structure, Western studies of intonational phonology. Then my own work is presented (with some corrections and additions compared to the thesis).
The book can be found on the publisher's website and is sold in many Russian bookstores (including major online ones). If you have any problems finding it, feel free to contact me.

  • Mitrenina, O., Romanova, Zh., & Slioussar, N. (2011). Vvedenie v generativnuju grammatiku (in Russian, ‘Introduction to generative grammar’). Moscow: Editorial URSS.
In 2018, the second edition came out. This is the first introduction to generative grammar in Russian. In the first part, we tried to cover the basics in the most accessible form, and in the second part, we selected several topics for a more thorough discussion.
The book can be found on the publisher's website and is sold in many Russian bookstores (including major online ones). If you have any problems finding it, feel free to contact me.

  • Slioussar, N. (2019). Experimental study of several core concepts of theoretical morphology (on the material of Russian): regularity, syncretism, markedness. Habilitation dissertation, HSE, Moscow.
I did not write a book for my habilitation, or D.Sc., thesis; instead, I defended a collection of journal papers with an extensive introduction and a general conclusion. It can be found here, together with a short summary in English and a longer summary in Russian. And here is a very short popular summary in Russian.

And here is a page dedicated to my BA/MA thesis and related projects.
